" We’ve fallen head over heels in love Pantone’s Colour of the Year: greenery. Using greenery as part of your wedding theme means your big day will be bursting with colour and texture. When it comes to the bridal look, green is admittedly a bold colour to rock on your big day. However, there are so many ways to make it look gorgeous. From glittering gowns embellished with green sequins or a relaxed forest green dress, it’s a brave colour to pull off but it can look incredibly beautiful. If you don’t fancy donning a green gown on your wedding day, you could easily incorporate it into your accessories instead. Emerald jewellery, fern flower crowns or a pop of colour in your shoes – there are lots of options.

Our fern products are a fabulous fit for a greenery inspired wedding theme. Our Angelica Fern comb is a stunning finishing touch for your hairstyle, and it’ll fit in with this theme perfectly. We’ve teamed it with a bespoke fern and gold leaf brooch piece. If you want something that’s completely bespoke to you, we can create a hair piece that’s as unique as you are.

Your bouquet is a fabulous opportunity for flaunting your wedding theme. We do adore colour posies here at Silver Sixpence in her Shoe, yet we can’t help but swoon over a bouquet bursting with wild greenery. Eucalyptus is the perfect choice for your wedding flowers and it’ll give them a divine scent too.

Greenery is a wonderful way of decorating your wedding venue and it’ll instantly give it a botanical vibe. From covering the entrance of your wedding venue with leafy foliage, to hanging chandeliers adorned with ivy – it’s a simple yet effective way of giving your wedding venue the wow factor.

We are huge fans of statement ceremony spaces, and we think a greenery-inspired archway makes for a truly magical place to say ‘I Do’. It won’t be an easy DIY task however, and it’s certainly one to discuss with your florist and venue.

Are you having any signs at your wedding? Signs are a stylish way of showing your guests around your venue and they can add a personal touch to your décor too. Wrap foliage and greenery around your sign for a modern touch – your wedding theme will look totally on-trend.

Show your guests to their seats in style with a greenery-inspired table plan. You could create a backdrop by hanging various leaves to twine ribbon, and attaching each table plan to the string. We love the idea of hanging hoops covered with greenery from the ceiling – modern, stylish and guaranteed to get your guests talking!

There are tons of simple ways to incorporate greenery throughout your wedding tables. We’re talking wedding chair covers, place settings and centrepieces. Greenery is so simple to use and style, but it really does look gorgeous!

Hanging Installations

When it comes to wedding table centrepieces, couples are opting for more unusual and inventive choices instead of a traditional vase full of blooms. From hanging geometric vases filled with an array of colourful and exotic flowers, to raised chandeliers entwined with pretty posies. You’ll need a wedding venue with high ceilings to pull off this gorgeous centrepiece, but it’s striking to look at and will save you heaps of table space.

Ceremony Backdrops

Your ceremony is the most important parts of your wedding day, so you want to make sure it’s extra special. A stunning backdrop will create a wonderful setting for you to say ‘I Do’, and it’s also a fab way of adding to your venue décor. Ceremony backdrops are being seen more and more and it seems that they’re going to be totally on trend for 2017.

Flame Orange Colour Scheme

Orange isn’t just for Autumn or Halloween-inspired weddings. Pantone have predicted Flame Orange to be a fabulous colour for wedding themes in 2017. Flaunt this sizzling shade through your wedding flowers, food and table décor. While orange looks striking alone, it is also the perfect match for deep burgundy shades and even dusty blue hues.

From acrylic signage to perspex chairs, you’ll create a wedding theme with a minimalist and stylish vibe. Work in lots of greenery and metallic details for a glamorous and botanical feel.
